A collection of prints that draw inspiration from the Japanese Ainu Tribe & their traditional Kitsune Masks. Traditional colors and motifs are strongly used with a variety of displacement & repeats across the prints.

Note
Taking inspiration from the Japanese Ainu Tribe & Kitsune Masks, I have developed a series of prints. The Ainu tribe is historically a resident of parts of Hokkaido (The Northern island of Japan) and are most commonly famous for their striking black facial tattoo & geometrical garment motifs.
They believe that everything in nature has a kamuy (Spirit or God) on the inside. Similarly, Kitsune (Fox) holds a mystical place in the Japanese folklore, hence the source of inspiration.
I have used the abstract elements from the Ainu Tribe & Kitsune Masks to develop prints by merging the abstract motifs that follow a definite color scheme derived from the inspiration as well.
